You have arcade mode where you blast through a series of characters. The single player one-on-one fighting is broken down into several segments, all of which should be familiar to fans of the genre. The story involved is traditional Tekken, so if you enjoy it you will likely find something here worth watching. As a standalone item this mode can be both tedious and frustrating due to its problems, but the addiction of unlocking all of the endings, characters and earning more money make it more than worth playing through. The Arena within this mode allows you to take on four fighters before being rewarded the ending, and needless to say that unlocking all endings will take some serious time investment. The bulk of Achievements and Trophies are from this mode and this is also the only place you can unlock the CGI endings we have all come to know and love from the Tekken series. What this means is that if you die at the last possible section or somehow get cheaply knocked off the edge of the map, you have to start over. What is frustrating about this mode is that each level requires you to finish it before moving on. The bonus about Scenario mode is that you can earn a ton of money here to customize your brawler, more on that later. The move set from the main game remains intact, but pulling off combos and such is just not as in-depth as the core game. This new mode allows you to follow a story arc that focuses on Lars and Alisa and plays out like a 3D beat ’em up title. Scenario Campaign mode will jump out at you from the beginning as it is the first option in the menu. Let’s first break down all the ways to play this meaty offering. The latest game adds tons of characters, a new scenario mode and even some online action to keep gamers playing it for months to come. The Tekken series not only makes it next-gen console debut, but also its Xbox debut with Tekken 6. However, if you find yourself in the same boat as myself, and absolutely love the genre, this game is a must have. The love/hate relationship with the series continues to go back and forth, and with so many top-tier fighters already hitting the market this year, some fans may not have enough room in their hearts for the latest King of the Iron Fist Tournament. As of the Bloodline Rebellion update, successfully parrying a low attack will also put a character into a bound state.
